New research finds that 1 out of every 8 workers is currently looking for a new job, and that nearly a third plan to change their job at some point during 2023.
Totaljobs questioned 2,500 workers in a recent survey that made the findings. Unsurprisingly with current inflation rates, the main reason for the job search was for a higher salary coming in at 57%. However, both lack of job satisfaction (39%) and wanting a better work/life balance (33%) featured highly. A quarter of people also said they wanted better growth and training opportunities than their current role offered them.
If you are trying to recruit new team members you will probably interested to know that flexible working is still a priority. A quarter expected employers to offer some sort of flexible working in their new job, whilst 62% said they would likely ignore a job advert that did not specify a salary.
