In advance of leaving the EU on 31 October 2019 the UK government has announced a Customs intermediaries grant scheme.
Should the UK leave, there will be immediate changes to the way UK businesses trade with the EU, and this includes applying customs, excise and VAT procedures in the same way that goods and services already sold outside the EU are treated.
If you think this will affect your business then you can apply for part of the £16 million of new funding being made available to help support businesses in that position.
Businesses based in the UK or who have a branch here can apply for the grants to help with the training costs of those needing to complete customs declaration and for IT improvements to help the business complete the customs declarations more efficiently.
